A short history of Indian Shores
Indian Shores was settled in 1883 as Indian Rocks Beach South Shore and incorporated under that name in 1949. It became the Town of Indian Shores in 1973. The 2020 census counted about 1,200 residents.
It's one of the narrowest stretches of the Pinellas barrier islands, west of Seminole, with Gulf beach on one side and Intracoastal frontage on the other. Bayside homes and condos have walls along the water.
The shoreline in Indian Shores
Many Indian Shores waterfront properties are condos and townhomes with shared walls, as well as single-family bayside lots. Shared walls mean an association, not a single owner, often makes the decision.

Condo walls are association decisions
If your wall is shared by a condo or townhome association, the board usually controls the repair. A written condition report helps the board compare quotes and plan the expense.
